Karen

Born in Kampala, Uganda, Karen moved to Australia at 23. Her passion for wildlife and the environment led her to a rewarding career at Melbourne Zoo, where she dedicated herself to understanding animals of all sorts. After having four children, she decided to further her impact and understanding by pursuing a Master of Conservation Biology. Her love for animals, nature, and technology fuels her commitment to protecting biodiversity. Balancing adventurous hobbies such as travelling the world, scuba diving, canicross, and more, she is inspired to make a difference through research and practical conservation initiatives, determined to create a sustainable future for wildlife and communities alike.
